Here is an example of our latest tool design.
The PA-03550 Gap cleaning kit was designed for use on Lockheeds F-16 program and then
were later adopted into the F-35 program for use on a similar process. These are the only metal
tools that we are aware of that are approved for use against composite surfaces at Lockheed
Martin. They have been proven to be safe and not cause damage to the primed surface or
substrate. By Lockheed replacing the disposable plastic tools that were being used for this
process with our tools, there was a substantial cost savings. The metal tools are more efficient
and safe, which allows for a faster and a better quality job without risking damage to the parts.
